The Thibodaux Playhouse would like to invite you to audtion for its next theatrical adventure. This time its a hilarious musical comedy that has something for everyone. A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM is a multiple Tony Award winning musical with a laugh-out-loud book by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbert and toe-tapping music by Stephen Sondheim.

The musical tells the bawdy story of a slave named Pseudolus and his attempts to win his freedom by helping his young master woo the girl next door. The plot twists and turns with cases of mistaken identity, doors slamming, and a showgirl or two…

Auditions will take place April 18 & 19th at 7pm in the Thibodaux Playhouse Rehearsal Hall (aka The Temple) located at 1120 Caroline Street. Please perpare a short song to sing for the auditions. Sides will be provided to read during auditions, so no prepared monologues are necessary. The cast calls for sixteen actors so everyone, of any experience level, is welcome to attend.
