Katie DeHart (Florence)-after her last performance as Marion Hollander in the Thibodaux Playhouse production of “Don’t Drink the Water” she is glad to be back.  This will be her third performance with the Thibodaux Playhouse and hopefully not her last.  Katie would like to dedicate this performance to her grandfather, Esimel DeHart, whom she lost last year.  She would also like to thank all of her loved ones for their support, strength and humor throughout this past crazy year.  There are too many of you to name.  Love to all.

Michael Hebert (Hannibal)-is happy to return to the Thibodaux Playhouse after a long hiatus.  He last appeared on stage when he played  Detective Sergeant Troughton in “Catch Me If You Can.”  He thanks his wife, Dionne and daughter, Caroline for all of their love and support and for “sharing” him with the theatre again.

Merlyn Foret (Fairy May)-was last seen as Mrs. Dupre’ in “The Great Big Doorstep” and before that as M’Lynn in “Steel Magnolias” by Robert Harling.  She’s loved working with the cast and crew, especially Mary Ann, her sister.  She thanks her husband, Si, her children, and grand-children for supporting her in her love of theatre.  Most of all she thanks God for all of the wonderful characters she’s been blessed to have  portrayed.

Jude LeCompte(Jeffrey) – is a senior at Thibodaux High School.  This is his first production for the Thibodaux Playhouse.  Jude worked backstage for “A My Name Is Alice” and enjoyed it so much that he thought he would give acting a try.  After graduation this year Jude will be joining the Army.  He thanks his mother and friends for being his influence in acting and thanks Cheyenne for getting him involved in the playhouse again.

Daisy Cheramie (Mrs. Paddy)-Daisy graced the stage in “Lost in Yonkers” and “The Night of January 16th.”  She had a little acting background but loves theatre.  Daisy was the director of “Taste the Wild” and director and producer of “Steel Magnolias” in Sept. Of 2009.  Daisy is pleased to be working with such wonderful people in this production.

Scott Phipps (Titus) – is a native of Michigan and has been living in South Louisiana for the last eleven years.  He performed in eleven different productions while living in Guam (1993-1998), including such shows as “Bus Stop,” “Romeo and Juliet,” and “The Crucible.”  This is his third production since moving to Louisiana in 1998, having previously performed in “If the Shoe Fits” with the Thibodaux Playhouse, and “Taste the Wild” with Les Acadiens Theatre.  As an actor, Scott specializes in unlikeable characters since they fit in so well with his natural disposition.  He offers his thanks to the New Orleans Saints for allowing him to enjoy a championship that he never would have gotten while supporting the Detroit Lions.

Melanie Bird (Samantha) – has decided to try her hand at acting in the community theatre after performing historical characters in her fifth grade social studies class at Labadieville Middle School.  This is her first role since high school.  She grew up in Sacramento , California and resides in Thibodaux.  She would like to thank her husband, Carl Bird and her children, Cheyenne Miller (16) and Deven Miller (15) for their support in her interests.

Leslie Brunet Cheramie ( Lily Belle) – is excited to be performing with the Thibodaux Playhouse again.  She first performed with the playhouse in their last production of “Pygmalion.”  Her most recent performances were with the Sam & Jim Acting Co. of Houma in “Hamlet” as Osric and various other characters and as Claire in “Fuddy Meers.”  Other performances include “A Christmas Carol,” “Lysistrata” and “Godspell.”  Here is to you Bootsy, my dear sweet friend.  I miss you.

Mary Ann Matherne (Mrs. Savage) – was last seen on the Thibodaux stage in “Enchanted April” as the Italian maid. Since then she has acted in  two plays for Les Acadians Community Theatre.  She played “Margaritte” in John Doucets’ play “Taste the Wild” and played “Weezer” in “Steel Magnolias.”   She is happy to be on her favorite stage here at Thibodaux Playhouse with her sister Merlyn and the rest of a great cast.  She thanks God and her husband for supporting her in doing what she loves to do.

Adrienne Naquin-Bolton (Miss Wilhelmina) – The “Curious Savage” is Adrienne’s second performance with the Thibodaux Playhouse.  She has also appeared as Rose Arnott in “Enchanted April.”.  Adrienne is excited to reunite with a couple cast members and looks forward to working with everyone.  She would like to thank Randy Mayeux, director, for casting her in this role and his kind words when doing so.  Another special thanks to Treva Breaux and Aiyana Ambrose  for their wonderful support.  Your enthusiasm about the stage is contagious!  In particular, Adrienne would like to thank her wonderful husband, Ben, and her family for all their love and support.

Randy Mayeux (Director)- has been extremely busy for the past year with the Thibodaux Playhouse.  He was last seen as Ed Devery in “Born Yesterday.”  He was the assistant director for “Greater Tuna” and is finally directing his own show with “The Curious Savage.”   Randy wants to thank his cast and crew for supporting him through his directional debut.  He would also like to thank his friends, family, and Josiah for being my support team for the past year when I’ve been going crazy doing all these plays.
