TPI will be holding auditions TONIGHT (8/1) and TOMORROW NIGHT (8/2) at 7PM at the Thibodaux Playhouse rehearsal hall: 1120 Caroline St. in Thibodaux.
“In 1934, the renowned tenor Tito Merelli, known to his fans as “Il Stupendo,” is scheduled to sing the lead in Otello. Chaos ensues when Merelli’s wife, who has mistaken an autograph-seeker hidden in his closet for a secret lover, leaves him a “Dear John” letter. What follows is a chain-reaction of mistaken identity, farcical plot twists, double entendres, innuendoes, and constant entrances and exits through many doors. A rip-roaring comedy!”

Performances: Friday and Saturday, October 7&8 and Thursday-Sunday, October 13-16, 2011. All performances are at 7:30pm except the Sunday show which is a 2pm matinee.
